Top 10 Festival Fashion Trends for 2018
It’s hard to believe that Spring is approaching, which means festival season is just around the corner! I wanted to compile a list of some of my favorite festival fashion trends for 2018 in hopes that it will inspire you (and also motivate myself to get crafting on my outfits for CRSSD and Tomorrowland)! Whether you like to go all out for EDC, or prefer the more laid back bohemian Coachella vibes, I think there’s something unique for every festival fashionista on the list below.
Vinyl Wear – I’ve become very intrigued with vinyl clothing and think it’s super unique and not overplayed just yet. I love that you can layer since it’s see through, and it’s also hard to stain (which is a huge plus when sitting on the ground and dirt at festivals)!

Love the holographic effect of this top from Cosmic Unicornz
Fluffy Everything – It’s no secret that this appears to be my favorite trend of all, but I seriously can’t get enough faux fur in my life! I think it’s so girly and glamorous. Wear it as an accent item on accessories or go all out with coats, tops, and hats! You really can do no wrong.

Kimonos are perfect for layering at warmer festivals

A good faux fur is a staple for cooler nights

Fur everything all the time

Draw attention to fun shoes with fluffy ankle wear

Store belongings in this fluffy light up J Valentine bag!

Not into fluffy apparel? Opt for a fluffy fan to keep cool.
Shiny Shades – A necessity for all those daytime festivals to protect your eyes from the sun! Oh and let’s be honest, they really come in handy when you don’t feel like wearing a ton of makeup or the bags under your eyes from lack of sleep are showing…
Hot Harnesses – Harness wear isn’t necessarily new, but I love the way it looks as a layering piece or accessory! It can make an outfit really stand out and accent the main article of clothing. I’ve seen some pretty elaborate ones ranging from leather to holographic to rhinestone!

Perfect for Coachella!

Who says leather has to be black always?

Perfect for the burn
Cosmic Cosmetics – For a bolder statement and graduated look from flash tattoos, opt for adhesive jewels, cosmetic glitter, and face stickers. My personal favorites are adhesive face gems and stickers because they are so easy to apply without the mess and clean up of glitter. It’s like a galaxy on your face and pro tip: it covers any imperfections you may have, ha!
Funky Flares – Another festival statement (in my opinion), bell bottoms are so flattering, comfy, and a tribute to the 70’s (when music festivals all started)!

Perhaps my favorite bell bottoms of all time from Dollskill.
Perfect Playsuits – I personally love that you don’t really have to work out or diet to wear these since your whole body is basically covered. So many unique bodysuit options to choose from now!
Unique Headware – Headbands, hats, hair clips, etc., all provide functionality and serve some sort of purpose. Whether it be shielding us from the heat of those Summer festivals, for insulation during the Winter shows, or to keep our hair from getting in our face, there is something for all!

I’m a big fan of the captain/marching band hat

Neon Cowboy hats are so cool

If it’s fluffy or furry, I probably own it.
Fresh Footware – Comfort is key, but then again platforms make your legs look so bomb! I usually advise to go the route of flats of some sort, but sometimes you just have to give in and endure the hours of dancing on heels. “Give a girl the right shoes, and she can conquer the world.” – Marilyn Monroe

Practical and pretty

Gorgeous but good luck with these!

Completely unreasonable in terms of wearability, but so so cute!

These seem somewhat reasonable and really speak to my inner techno girl

My old faithfuls
Cyber Goth – I’m usually a rainbows and butterflies type of raver, but lately I’ve been channeling my inner techno girl. I think it’s good to change up your look every now and then! I’ve definitely noticed the trend leaning toward the darker side these days.

Dolls Kill does it again!
Ok that was a long one, congratulations if you are still with me and made it all the way through! I can’t wait to start planning my outfits for the upcoming season and I know there are so many other looks to try! What are you favorite festival fashion trends for 2018?
