Escape Psycho Circus Festival Review
Happy Halloween everyone! Another Escape has come and gone, and what better way to recap the festival than on this spooky day itself! This marks my 8th time attending, so let’s get into my Escape Psycho Circus festival review.

The main stage
In terms of planning for this festival, we definitely had the intention of going both days, but tickets actually went on sale when we were at Tomorrowland. Because of the time change, we couldn’t snag first tier and were really shocked to see that GA 2-day for the both of us was nearly $500! Prices once upon a time used to be like $70 for a single day, and combined with spending money on a hotel, we decided to opt for just Saturday!

Whenever we go to a single-day event, we typically like to go as early as possible to make the most of our experience. We parked on the street (always free) and we walked in at about 5. Every year there are more and more people, and I definitely noticed the increase of crowds (especially around the lake area which is rare). We hung out in the Factory 93 tent most of the time, so I didn’t have any bad experiences. I did hear from others that the main stage had a lot of rowdy and disrespectful people, but I sadly feel like this is not a huge surprise. I’ve noticed the PLUR culture at the larger stages has really dissipated, which is why I prefer to hang out at the smaller tents! Always good vibes and the music is amazing. I also loved the lineup for Escape this year. So much techno and some of my favorites of the night were Dubfire, Green Velvet, and Eric Prydz! I was really excited that everyone we wanted to see was on Saturday and not split up like it typically is on Friday.
The NOS center is one of my favorite venues since it is so massive and always looks amazing with the lights and décor framing the lake and trees. I feel like Insomniac stepped up the production even more than years passed. I also love how they always have little magic shows and spooky performers if you want a break from the music.

Never get to go in here because the line is so long!
Surprisingly, I was able to meet up with a decent amount of people, despite the poor reception! Like I mentioned, the smaller stages weren’t overly packed and we had plenty of room to move.
Overall, I had a really great experience at Escape this year. I will probably return next year, provided the lineup is good and the pricing doesn’t go up too much! Some pros and cons from my perspective:
Pros:
- Great lineup
- Beautiful stages and production
- Plenty of food and drink options
- Spots to rest and enjoy entertainment
- Good amount of bathrooms
- Free water
- Easy parking and access to the event
Cons:
- Crowded and over capacity
- A lot of people not respecting the culture or music
- This festival draws a lot of people who just want to party
